Pair of 1864 Monumental Pitch Pine Decorative Support Columns

These solid baltic pine columns were originally used to support the organ case at Swan Hill Congregational Church, Shrewsbury.  Mounted on support timbers they could fit flush against a wall as a design feature or be used as a support for exciting entranceway.  The nature of their construction means that it would be easy to shorten the length by taking sections out of the hexagonal part or the turned column parts.
