Attributed to St Peter's Church, Portishead. These are the very best pews that we have in stock at present. Dating from around 1850 they are extremely heavy with thick oak seats and backs. Every end has been carved by hand and each one is different from the elaborate fleur de lys, to the roundels, to the carved pommels. A rare chance to own an exceptional original Gothic revival pew. Some minor losses.

From the long closed Church of St Paul's Leicester. This carved oak church pew bench is without doubt the best pew we have for sale at the moment. It seems strange to describe something as heavy as this as exquisite, but it is. Ends have carved leaves, flowers and vines as well as columns buttressing the front. A Panel back and tongue & groove slats extending to the floor make this pew very strong.
