The silk panels at either end have gone. The main silk panels are not so good, so this is very much a donor piece for harvesting the fantastic main panel and orphreys. The silk here is also not perfect but is fixable/ignorable.

]]> Antique Giant Gothic Church Panelling Screen Puzzle Project -SOLD- https://churchantiques.com/product/antique-giant-gothic-church-panelling-screen-puzzle-project/ Fri, 02 Jun 2023 11:38:48 +0000 https://staging.churchantiques.com/?post_type=product&p=30186 From St John's, Worthing we got all these pieces of carved and straight wood which once made up a large Rood Screen that went across the front of the church.  They had been in a flooded boiler room which is why they look kind of black.  We glued together some bits to make up the section which is ringed in red so be aware we don't know if it's complete, there may be pieces missing and it would be very hard to stick back together.  On the plus side there are a lot of neat hand carved features which at the very best could be upcycled into other projects or restorations.  Couldn't say what size it would come to.
