Carved from two blocks of solid marble they would have originally been the frontis piece of a High Church altar. Portrayed in worship, not mourning their features, cloaks, hands and wings are beautifully realised. No apparent damage, even to the delicate fingers. Spotting on left hand angel is mildew which we will wipe off shortly.
