Large Antique Early 1900’s Pine Silver Box from St John at Hackney (SOLD)

Very large old pine chest dating from around 1890 which would have been used for storing important church silverware and brassware: Ciboriums, Chalices, Patens, Monstrances, valuable candlesticks and older collection plates.  Finished latterly in brown paint, condition is battered but sound.  Top very snug fitting, has brass handle on each side.
