Set of Three Unusual Blue Velvet and Oak Savanarola President Chairs
Each with a finely carved roundel that acts as a hinge so the chairs can partially fold up. (Why?) Each chair has four corners with an inscribed IHS motif, these have been slightly damaged over the years. The velvet back supports have been replaced periodically over the years and there are old tack holes where each support has been. From the front they all look good and have a particular Italianate style.
61cm W x 91cm H x 45cm D. SH: 49cm.

Pair of Extremely Flamboyant Antique Throne Chairs from St Mary Arches, Exeter
