1941 Memorial Blitz Church Baptismal Font from Epping Methodist Church (SOLD)

A rare and poignant find – a church font made out of stone, oak and lead from the partly destroyed Houses of Parliament, hit by bombs in 1941.  The lead for the bowl and seal came from the roof, the stone from a wall, the oak from the structure.  The font was given in loving memory of Beryl Watkins, who, by repute was killed in the Blitz age 21.
