Fascinating 18th Century Oak Lion Head & Bobbin Chair from St Barnabas, Hightown (SOLD)

Never had one of these before.  Highly ornate chair with a serious bobbin theme.  Detailed Lion head arm rests are nice to hold on to and the whole chair is surmounted by a giant acorn.  A drop in upholstered seat was recovered probably in the 1930’s in a neutral dark brown colour.  Probably originally had castors.  Surprisingly comfortable.
