St Botolphs, Boston 1852 Carved Oak Heritage Pew (SOLD)

Fantastic carved Gothic pew from the 14th Century church that was the spiritual home of the Puritan Fathers who went on to found the ‘City on the Hill’, Boston in Massachusetts.  Much of the planning and financing for the Massachusetts Bay Colony happened in and around this church.  The farewell sermon for John Winthrop’s fleet was preached here in 1630.  Carved by hand by the best craftsmen of the county of Lincolnshire.  Because of the age and type of construction, this pew has a slightly uneven, characterful appearance.

Please see photos of available ends marked 1 – 7 in chalk at top of ends.  These ends will all end up looking like the pew in the main pictures ie polished and looking splendid!
