Very Grand & Early Carved Oak Dresser Sideboard dated 1683 (SOLD)

An impressive statement piece that will make any room look instantly old and baronial.  Obviously originally made for somebody important this dresser features a wealth of carved detail thoughout.  Even the sides have diamond shaped cartouches.  Owing to its size and age it is ever so slightly swaybacked, but this does not affect the opening of the ten drawers or the cupboard doors.  The handles are the original brass loops.  Marvellous colour and sheen which simply cannot be faked.  Repairs, back replaced recently with newer oak.
