1850’s William Butterfield Stunning Brass Eagle Lectern from St Patrick’s Hove

£2,400.00

Originally an attic find, then a shed find this beautiful eagle bears the marks (and losses) of many unsympathetic years of storage.  Missing several semi-precious stones and a small figure of St Patrick, the lectern needs a long central bolt to hold it together.  Currently it is held together by it’s own weight.  Nonetheless this is a special and important piece worthy of restoration.
