Bronze Russian Enamel Crucifix Icon with the Holy Face (SOLD)
Antique/Bronze Russian Royal Blue and White Enamel Crucifix /Icon with the Holy Face. Two angels above the crucified Christ who is flanked by the Holy Virgin and Saints. Sun and moon are on the ends of the middle bar. In the lower part are the walls of Jerusalem and Golgotha with skull of Adam on the rear of the crucifix is fine flower engraving – quite beautiful all by itself. Some of the detailing has been polished off but this is still a lovely 19th century cross. The loop of twine is to hang it up.
