Best Ever Saint Roc with Dog Statue from the Maricolen Convent in Antwerp (SOLD)
From the Maricolen Convent in Antwerp this is probably the best Saint Roc statue we have ever had. It is a combination of carved wood with a fine skim of plaster and thicker areas of plaster – this has created an ethereal and lifelike figure. Halo is brass, some repairs and minor losses but still amazing. Note detailing like the eyelashes. Very heavy.
